The Barrington Soccer Club is a volunteer run organization affiliated with New Jersey Youth Soccer. We offer recreational and competitive soccer for boys and girls ages 3 and up.
Fun, fitness, and family are what we’re all about.
Our recreational league focuses on teaching the fundamentals of soccer in a friendly, relaxed environment. In this league the focus is on enjoying the game not winning it. The program is co-ed coached by one to two parent volunteers or in our Mini program where the coaches are Varsity Soccer Players. This offers a great opportunity for parents to become more actively involved in their child’s soccer experience.
For the more serious player’s of the game we offer separate competitive teams in "TRAVEL" leagues for boys and girls of select ages. Like the rec program the focus is on enjoying the game and most importantly, player development, but the competition is more intense. Each team has a volunteer coach that has been licensed to coach soccer and we have professional training sessions run by Universal Soccer Academy. Tryouts for our travel teams may be held, existing teams may hold tryouts for open slots only or for entire team. Team availability in each age bracket is dependent on player registrations.
Who runs the Barrington Soccer Club?
The Barrington Soccer Club is completely run by volunteers.
We have an Executive Committee made up of volunteer directors as well as numerous other volunteers who work in many different areas to help run this club.
Some examples include: scheduling fields and referees, organizing team photos, working on the web site, ordering uniforms, coordinating the concessions, team equipment and field maintenance
