The Barrington Shooting Stars had a great season, finishing undefeated with a 7-0-3 record. The girls played and practiced with commitment and great heart. They never gave up or stopped believing in themselves. Mid season one of the key players, Aubrey, broke her leg in a middle school game. The team rallied and continued to play well with everyone contributing. The team looks forward to moving up to the National flight in the spring and playing and challenging teams at the next level. The other teams in our conference are well coached and are made up of skilled players, they helped make this a great season and we are honored to have shared the soccer field with them. Many of our games could have gone the other way, most particularly our 3 ties. Although our girls never stopped playing and continued to give it their all, luck often went our way against some very talented teams. The season was very special due to great chemistry and absolute true team mentality. This is a reflection of the players and their families. On behalf of all the coaches, we thank the parents and families for allowing us to coach your amazing daughters. We are thankful to the Barrington Club, with special thanks to the Arsenal who also had an amazing season and helped us by scrimmaging. We also thank the SJGSL, and all the referees.
